Let's Give Thanks!

I thought it might be kind of fun for us to share what we are thankful for since today we should be expressing our thanks to God. So, here it goes for me. There is much more, but I think I have nailed it down to a few items for you:

Personally: First and Center: I am thankful for Jesus Christ.

1. The body of believers at our new church, the solid teaching and for our skilled worship team leader and his sincerity in playing with excellence as well as his desire to come before God with the right heart. I am blessed beyond measure being able to work with him as well as all the skilled musicians God has put at our church.

2. We had Bush instead of Gore for 8 years.

3. My husband's two jobs.

4. I am thankful we are still free.

5. I am thankful I have the husband I have and how God has provided for all of our needs through him. He is unbelievable. He only gets a few hours of sleep a night to provide for us yet he supports me in everything I do both as a mom and as a musician. He is a picture of a true servant. He wouldn't want me to go into detail on how much he sacrifices for all of us, so I won't, but trust me he is the closest to a real picture of Jesus that I have ever seen.

6. My family at my old church and the privilege I had to sit under that pastor's teaching for 20 years.

7. I am thankful for my four boys and step daughter and my whole family.

Military:

1. I am very thankful for our troops who are still fighting in harms way and are willing to sacrifice their lives for each and every one of us so that we can be safe and remain free.

2. I am thankful God has given most of these men and women in uniform very sharp minds and courageous hearts. They are some of the best of the best we have.

Government:

1. I am thankful we had Bush during 9/11.

2. I am thankful we have another person of integrity who hopefully will continue in her bid for the presidency in the future: Sarah Palin.

3. I am thankful for Phil Kline's example of what a real servant leader should do.

I am thankful for all these things, but most important, I am thankful I am not a liberal. ;0)

What are you thankful for?
