David Cook Wins American Idol!

Congratulations David for a well deserved win! Dee from Conservatism With Heart did a great post on this today.

Dee posted the You Tube video of David Cook singing with ZZ Top and of course THAT was my favorite performance of the night as I have loved ZZ Top since my teen years. You should go to her site and check out the video, it is great!

I am thankful ZZ Top has not made their political preference known. I prefer not to know. A lot of actors/actress'/musicians make their idiocy known and as a result I have no desire to see their movies or listen to their music any more. I can't explain it, that is just the way it is.

The reason I like watching American Idol more than any Hollywierd music show on t.v. is because these up and coming singers are not jaded by the entertainment industry yet. They are usually very normal, nice and wholesome people. In an industry where it is a million to one shot that you would even get an A&R rep. to listen to your voice, it is great that there is a platform for talented people to get heard and have their dreams realized!
